However, pursuant to Articles 4 to 6 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act, DSA), we are not obligated to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances pointing to illegal activity. Withdrawal Policy
1. Your Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded — i.e., the day you complete payment at checkout.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us —
WIM — Wilhelm Tuchscherer
c/o Online-Impressum 246
Europaring 90
53757 Sankt Augustin
GermanyEmail: hello@wim.so
— of your decision to withdraw from this contract by a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post, or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
2. Consequences of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we receive notice of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.
3. No Early Expiry — Your Full 14-Day Right Applies
German law allows providers of digital content to end the right of withdrawal early, before the 14-day period is up, if the customer gives express consent to immediate performance and confirms they understand they lose their withdrawal right as a result (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB). WIM does not use this option. We do not ask for this consent, and we do not treat it as given. Even though your membership access begins immediately upon successful payment, your statutory right of withdrawal above remains in force for the full 14 days — regardless of whether you have already accessed content, opened Red Boxes, or appeared on the public Wall during that time.
This means: if you withdraw within 14 days of your purchase, WIM will refund your payment in full. Any seconds, credit label, or Founding Member progress attributable to a refunded payment are adjusted accordingly. Your name is removed from the supporter Wall and from end-credit recognition immediately — you cannot retain a film credit or Wall position earned from a payment you reclaim.
4. Model Withdrawal Form
(Muster-Widerrufsformular per Anlage 2 zu Art. 246a § 1 Abs. 2 EGBGB — complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)

Cancel Contract
1. You Can Cancel Anytime, With No Retention Tricks
Your WIM membership is a rolling subscription (monthly or annual). You can cancel it at any time, with no minimum term beyond your current billing period, and without needing to give a reason.
2. Cancel Here
Use the button below to go to your account's membership management page (Stripe Customer Portal, opened securely from your logged-in WIM account). From there you can select "Cancel plan" to end your subscription. If you are already logged in, you can also reach this at any time via: Account Settings → Membership → Manage Membership → Cancel Plan.
Verträge hier kündigen (Cancel contracts here)Not logged in? The button above will ask you to sign in first — that's expected. If you can't access your account at all, email hello@wim.so from your registered address and we will process the cancellation within 48 hours on business days.
3. What Happens When You Cancel
Your cancellation is recorded immediately when you confirm it. Your membership, and all tier benefits (Universe access, Insider and Inner Circle content, Red Box unlocking, early access to new episodes, etc.), remain active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after your current billing period ends. We do not issue pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a current billing period, except where required by law (see the Withdrawal Policy for the separate, time-limited right of withdrawal on newly-concluded contracts). Recognition already earned — your lifetime seconds, credit label, and Founding Member status (if applicable) — is retained permanently and is not removed by cancelling. Only your active membership tier and paid access end.
4. Confirmation of Your Cancellation
In accordance with § 312k Abs. 3 BGB, we confirm every cancellation in a durable, retrievable format. Immediately after you cancel, you will see an on-screen confirmation stating the fact that your cancellation has been received, the exact date your access ends, and the identity of the contracting parties. You will also receive a confirmation email to your registered address with the same information, which you can keep for your records. If you cancel by email instead of through the portal, we will reply with the same confirmation details within 48 hours on business days.
5. Reactivating
Changed your mind? You can resubscribe at any time from wim.so. Note that if more than 500 Founding Member slots have since been filled, a lapsed Founding Member who resubscribes keeps their original Founding Member status (it is permanent once earned), but a new subscriber after slot 500 will join as a standard Member/Insider/Inner Circle without a new Founding Member badge.
For the separate 14-day right of withdrawal on a newly-concluded contract (full 14 days apply — WIM does not invoke the digital-content early-expiry exception under § 356 Abs. 5 BGB), see Withdrawal Policy. For our full contractual terms, see Terms of Service.
Terms of Service (AGB)
1. Scope and Subject of Service
1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the contractual relationship between WIM, operated by Wilhelm Tuchscherer (hereinafter "WIM", "we", or "us"), and any person who registers for or purchases access to WIM's platform at wim.so (hereinafter "User" or "you").
1.2 wim.so is WIM's cinematic crowdfunding and exclusive membership platform. Season 1 is released free of charge for everyone once the community funding goal is reached, and a membership is never required to watch it. What a membership funds is the production; what it unlocks is the Universe around the series: behind-the-scenes material, digital artifacts, Red Boxes, community features, and, from the Insider tier upward, new episodes one week before their free release. The platform is built around a film and series project created by WIM; by subscribing or contributing, Users directly support its production.
1.3 These Terms apply to all subscription-based and one-time transactions conducted via wim.so. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full.
1.4 We do not accept terms and conditions that deviate from these Terms unless expressly agreed to in writing.
2. Registration and Account
2.1 Access to WIM's paid content requires creating an account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
2.2 You must be at least 18 years old to enter into a subscription contract with WIM. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
2.3 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@wim.so if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
2.4 One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits or access restrictions is prohibited.
3. Contract Formation and Stripe Integration
3.1 The contract between you and WIM is concluded at the moment you click the final "Subscribe" or "Pay" button on the checkout page. Prior to clicking, you will have the opportunity to review your order summary, the applicable price, billing cycle, and a link to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
3.2 All payments are processed exclusively by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited ("Stripe"), a third-party payment processor. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's terms and privacy policy, available at stripe.com/legal. WIM does not store or process your payment card details directly.
3.3 You will receive an order confirmation by email after successful payment. This confirmation constitutes acknowledgment of receipt but does not represent a separate contract; the contract is formed as described in clause 3.1.
3.4 The contract language is German or English, depending on the language version of this site you selected when entering into the contract. WIM does not store the individual contract text after conclusion; you are responsible for retaining your order confirmation email.
4. Subscription Models, Pricing, and Payment
4.1 WIM offers the following membership tiers (prices inclusive of applicable VAT):
| Tier | Access | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Member | Universe access (locked content), one Behind-the-Scenes Drop per month, wish wall | Monthly / Annual |
| Insider | Everything in Member, plus full Universe access (all files, folders and search), all secret Red Boxes, and every new episode one week early. Annual: your name in the end credits under Special Thanks | Monthly / Annual |
| Inner Circle | Everything in Insider, plus raw unreleased scenes and songs, and VIP priority invites to the premiere and concerts. Annual: VIP premiere ticket and an Associate Producer credit | Monthly / Annual |
A membership is not an entry fee for the series. Season 1 is released free of charge for everyone once the community goal is reached, and no membership is required to watch it. A membership funds the production and unlocks the Universe around the series. Where a tier mentions early access to episodes, that means seeing a new episode before the free release, not exclusive access to it.
Current prices are displayed on the checkout page at time of purchase. WIM reserves the right to adjust prices with reasonable notice (see clause 4.6).
4.2 Automatic renewal. All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) unless cancelled before the renewal date. Stripe will charge your payment method on file on each renewal date.
4.3 You authorize WIM (via Stripe) to charge your designated payment method for all subscription fees when due. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry according to its standard retry logic. WIM may suspend access to your account during periods of non-payment.
4.4 Upgrading your plan. You may switch to a higher tier, or from monthly to annual billing, at any time from your account's membership management page, without needing to cancel your existing subscription first. Where an upgrade takes effect immediately, Stripe will charge you a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period at the new plan's rate. Your credit recognition (Section 6) is never reduced by an upgrade.
4.5 Invoices are issued by Stripe and sent to your registered email address after each successful payment. These serve as your receipts for tax purposes.
4.6 Price changes. WIM will notify you of any price increases at least 30 days before they take effect, by email to your registered address. If you do not cancel your subscription before the change takes effect, you are deemed to have accepted the new price.
4.7 WIM is subject to standard German VAT taxation (Regelbesteuerung) and does not apply the small-business exemption under § 19 UStG. All prices are shown inclusive of German VAT (Umsatzsteuer) at the applicable statutory rate (currently 19%).
5. Free Tier — Universe Drops
5.1 WIM offers a free email list ("Universe Drops") through which non-paying users can receive preview content and updates. Signing up for Universe Drops does not create a subscription contract and is governed separately by our Privacy Policy.
5.2 Free tier access does not include content reserved for paying members. It does include Season 1, which is released free of charge for everyone once the community funding goal is reached. WIM may modify or discontinue the free tier at any time with reasonable notice.
6. The Support Mechanic, Public Recognition, and Founding Member Program
6.1 €1 = 1 second. WIM converts every euro you contribute — whether a one-time payment or a subscription payment — into "seconds" of funding, calculated as the amount paid in euros, rounded down to the nearest whole second (e.g., €10.00 → 10 seconds; €19.99 → 19 seconds). Both one-time payments and every successful subscription renewal add seconds. If a payment is refunded or successfully charged back, the corresponding seconds are subtracted from your total. If this causes your lifetime total to fall below a credit label threshold, your label decreases immediately, your name is removed from the supporter Wall, and any end-credit recognition is forfeited — you cannot retain a film credit or Wall position earned from a payment you subsequently reclaim.
6.2 Important — no financial return. Seconds, credit labels, Founding Member status, and any other recognition described in this Section 6 are purely non-monetary, symbolic acknowledgements of your support. They do not represent shares, equity, profit participation, a security, a loan, a right to repayment, or any other financial instrument or claim against WIM. They cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged for cash, or redeemed for anything other than the recognition described here.
6.3 The public Wall and Leaderboard. WIM operates a public "Wall" showing recent and top supporters. Whether you appear publicly or as "Anonymous" is your choice, made when you contribute and changeable at any time afterward. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what is shown publicly versus kept private, and how to change your preference at any time.
6.4 Credit labels. Based on your lifetime seconds funded, you earn the highest of the following labels:
| Credit Label | Lifetime Seconds |
|---|---|
| Supporter | 1+ |
| Special Thanks | 100+ |
| Associate Producer | 500+ |
| Producer | 1,000+ |
| Executive Producer | 10,000+ |
Only your highest earned label is shown. Labels are recalculated whenever your lifetime seconds change, and can decrease if a refund or chargeback reduces your lifetime total below a threshold.
6.5 Founding Member program. The first 500 people to become paying monthly subscribers receive a permanent "Founding Member" badge, assigned strictly in join order (not by amount contributed). One-time payments do not count toward Founding Member order, and subsequent renewals do not create additional Founding Member numbers. Once assigned, Founding Member status is retained even if you later cancel your subscription, unless WIM determines in good faith that it was obtained fraudulently.
6.6 Red Box feature. Certain hidden "Red Box" discoveries on the platform are a gated benefit available only to accounts with an active Insider or Inner Circle membership. Discovering and unlocking a Red Box does not itself add seconds, change your credit label, or affect your membership. Access is re-checked by our backend each time, independent of what is shown in your browser.
7. Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a newly-concluded contract within 14 days. WIM does not invoke the early-expiry exception available for digital content (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB) — your full 14-day right of withdrawal applies even though your membership access begins immediately upon payment. The full statutory withdrawal terms, including the model withdrawal form, are set out in our dedicated Withdrawal Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Cancellation of Your Subscription
You may cancel your ongoing subscription at any time — this is a separate right from the time-limited withdrawal right in Section 7 above, and is not subject to a deadline. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep full access until then, and WIM does not issue pro-rata refunds for the unused remainder, except where required by law. For the cancellation function itself, see our dedicated Cancel Contract section, which satisfies § 312k BGB.
9. Content, Intellectual Property, and Usage Rights
9.1 All content on wim.so — including video, audio, images, text, digital artifacts, and design — is the intellectual property of WIM and/or its licensors, protected under German and international copyright law (UrhG).
9.2 Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and view WIM content for personal, non-commercial purposes only, for the duration of your active subscription.
9.3 You may not download, copy, reproduce, redistribute, publicly display, or commercially exploit any WIM content without prior written consent from WIM.
9.4 Fair Use / Quotation right. Music and video snippets used on the platform may be used under § 51 UrhG (quotation right) and/or applicable Fair Use provisions. Such content is clearly contextualized as artistic reference and does not replace original works.
9.5 If you submit any content to WIM (e.g., feedback, community contributions), you grant WIM a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and reproduce such content in connection with the platform.
10. Platform Availability
10.1 WIM aims to maintain platform availability of 99% per calendar month, excluding scheduled maintenance windows. We will endeavor to announce planned maintenance in advance via email or in-platform notification.
10.2 WIM does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Technical outages, maintenance, or circumstances beyond our control may temporarily affect availability. Such temporary unavailability does not entitle Users to a reduction in subscription fees unless the outage is material, prolonged, and attributable to WIM.
10.3 WIM uses third-party infrastructure providers including Framer (hosting), Supabase (database and backend), Outseta (authentication and account management), and Stripe (payments). Their availability may affect WIM's service.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 WIM is fully liable without limitation for damages arising from intentional misconduct (Vorsatz) or gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), and for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health.
11.2 For simple negligence (einfache Fahrlässigkeit), WIM is only liable for the breach of a material contractual obligation (wesentliche Vertragspflicht / Kardinalpflicht). In such cases, liability is limited to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage.
11.3 The above limitations also apply to the benefit of WIM's employees, agents, and vicarious agents.
11.4 Liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected.
11.5 WIM is not liable for content on external websites linked from the platform. Such links are provided for information purposes only; WIM has no control over third-party content.
12. Data Protection
12.1 WIM processes your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO) and German data protection law. Details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
12.2 By creating an account, you acknowledge that WIM processes your data as necessary for the performance of this contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR).
13. Changes to these Terms
13.1 WIM reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
13.2 If you do not object to the changes within 30 days of notification and continue using the service after the changes take effect, the amended Terms are deemed accepted.
13.3 We will explicitly draw your attention to your right to object and the consequences of not objecting in our notification.
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 WIM is neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle).
14.2 Nothing in this clause limits your statutory rights to seek resolution through courts or other legal mechanisms.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
15.1 These Terms and all contracts concluded under them are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
15.2 For B2C contracts, the above choice of law does not deprive consumer Users of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.
15.3 For B2B contracts (business users), the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms is Dresden, Germany.
15.4 For consumer Users, jurisdiction is determined by applicable statutory rules.
16. Miscellaneous
16.1 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
16.2 No waiver. Failure by WIM to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in the future.
16.3 These Terms, together with the Withdrawal Policy and Cancel Contract sections referenced above, constitute the entire agreement between you and WIM with respect to the subject matter herein and supersede all prior communications.

Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are and How to Reach Us
The controller responsible for processing your personal data under the GDPR / DSGVO is:
WIM — Wilhelm Tuchscherer
c/o Online-Impressum 246
Europaring 90
53757 Sankt Augustin
GermanyEmail: hello@wim.so
We do not have a mandatory Data Protection Officer (DPO). You may direct all data protection enquiries to the contact above.
2. What wim.so Is — and Why We Process Data
wim.so is WIM's cinematic crowdfunding and membership platform. Fans fund the production of an ongoing film universe by purchasing memberships or making one-time contributions. In return, they receive exclusive content and community recognition. We process personal data for three distinct purposes: (1) running your account and delivering your membership (contract performance); (2) operating the public supporter Wall/Leaderboard, with your explicit consent; (3) sending you emails about the project, with your explicit consent.
3.1 Account Registration and Membership
When you create an account or subscribe, we process your email address, name (if provided), password (hashed, never stored in plain text), payment method data (card type, last 4 digits), billing history, IP address at registration, and your membership tier and status — legal basis Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance), with IP address under Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest). Your payment card details are never stored by WIM; payments are processed exclusively by Stripe.
3.2 The Public Supporter Wall and Leaderboard
wim.so operates a publicly visible "Wall" and leaderboard that shows supporter activity. You choose whether you appear publicly: if you enter a name in the credits field when you contribute, that name is shown publicly. It does not have to be your real name — you may use any alias you like. If you tick "I prefer to stay anonymous", or leave the name field empty, your entry is shown as "Anonymous" instead.
What "public" means: if you choose to appear publicly, the following is visible to anyone visiting wim.so: your chosen display name/alias, your contribution in seconds (€1 = 1 second), your supporter message (if provided), your relationship badge, your credit label, whether you are a Founding Member, and the timestamp of your contribution.
What "anonymous" means: if you remain anonymous (the default), the Wall shows "Anonymous" as your display name (your real name and alias are never shown), your contribution in seconds, and your relationship badge, credit label, membership tier, and status — these are shared by many supporters and don't identify you individually.
One thing is always hidden regardless of your display setting: your specific Founding Member number. Since only 500 of these numbers exist, showing the exact number could identify a specific anonymous person even though everything else about them is generic. Your Founding Member badge (the fact that you are one) may still be shown — only the unique number behind it is withheld when anonymous.
Legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw this consent at any time by switching back to anonymous mode in your account settings, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Switching between public and anonymous applies retroactively — to entries you have already made, not only to future ones. If you switch back to public after being anonymous, your previously chosen name is restored rather than lost. We may also use the name you gave us when we contact you directly.
3.3 Universe Drops (Email Newsletter)
If you sign up for our free "Universe Drops" email list, we process your email address and subscription date under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via double opt-in). You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, with immediate effect.
3.4 Member Emails and Transactional Communications
As a paying member, we may send you payment receipts and invoices, subscription renewal reminders, account security notifications, and content/community updates — Art. 6(1)(b) for billing/account emails, Art. 6(1)(a) for content updates and marketing.
3.5 Website Usage and Technical Data
We process your IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited under Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest). We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics that track you across websites. Our frontend is built with Framer; if Framer sets analytics cookies, we will disclose this separately and obtain consent.
3.6 Red Box Discovery
If you are an active Insider or Inner Circle member, we record your account ID, the box ID and discovery timestamp, and the page where it was found — Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR. Red Box data is visible only to you and to WIM administrators.
3.7 Signing in with Google
You can create your wim.so account and sign in using your Google account instead of setting a password. If you do, Google transmits your name, your email address, your profile picture and your Google account identifier to us. We use this data solely to create your account, to identify you when you sign in, and to contact you about your account — legal basis Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent, given by choosing to sign in with Google).
We request no further access to your Google account. We cannot read your emails, contacts, calendar or files, and we never receive your Google password. We do not pass this data on to third parties and we do not use it for advertising. Signing in with Google is optional — you can always register with your email address instead. You can revoke wim.so's access at any time in your Google account settings. Your wim.so account itself is not affected and stays accessible with your email address.
4. How Long We Keep Your Data
| Data Category | Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Account data (email, name, password) | Duration of account + 3 years after deletion |
| Payment and billing ledger | 10 years (§ 147 AO) |
| Supporter Wall entries | Duration of account; ledger retained for tax purposes |

5. Sharing Your Data — Who Receives It

We may disclose personal data to law enforcement, courts, or regulatory authorities if required by applicable law.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
WIM does not use tracking cookies or local storage for advertising. The following technically necessary cookies and browser storage may be set:
| Type | Purpose | Legal Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication cookies | Keeping you logged in (Outseta) | Technically necessary — no consent required |
| Stripe cookies | Fraud detection during checkout | Technically necessary — no consent required |
| Framer / hosting cookies | Performance and CDN delivery | Technically necessary — no consent required |
| Local storage: onboarding flag | Remembers whether you've completed the first-time onboarding walkthrough, so we don't show it again | Technically necessary — no consent required |
None of the above are used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building a marketing profile. If we introduce any non-essential cookies or storage (e.g., analytics), we will update this policy and present a consent banner first.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21), and to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)) without affecting prior processing. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in particular in the EU member state of your residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for us is:
Die Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte (Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner)
Postfach 11 01 32, 01330 Dresden
www.datenschutz.sachsen.de
To exercise any of these rights, contact support@wim.so. We respond without undue delay and in any event within one month of receiving your request (Art. 12(3) GDPR). Where a request is particularly complex, or where we receive a large number of requests, this period may be extended by a further two months; we will inform you of any such extension, and of the reasons for it, within the first month.
8. Data Security
All data is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS; passwords are hashed (managed by Outseta); database access is restricted to server-side Edge Functions; Stripe handles card data under PCI DSS Level 1; Supabase Row-Level Security restricts data access per user; sensitive keys are stored as environment variables and never exposed in browser-side code.
9. Children
WIM is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact support@wim.so and we will delete the data promptly.
10. Changes to this Policy
We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. The current version is always available at wim.so/legal#privacy.
